What is Copilot? 

Copilot is a drilling alignment device, designed to help align cordless drills for accurate and effortless alignment in any application. Using an array of LEDs, Copilot senses the orientation of the drill, and guides the operator to any desired orientation. The array is highly intuitive and after only a few seconds of use, the operator does not look directly at the array, but can focus on the job at hand. This improves safety and the quality of the work. The seamless movement of the LED array is easily processed in peripheral vision and becomes a 6th sense for perfect, effortless drilling alignment. 

How does it work?

The Copilot learning curve is fascinating. With only a single line of instruction, operators learn the physical-visual connection within seconds of holding the drill. Simply 'follow the green'. The green portion of the LED array points you towards alignment. 'All green' means you're within the alignment tolerance. The other instructions on how to change accuracy, brightness, to set a new orientation and turn the Copilot on and off are labelled on the decal. 

What is the Copilot Retrofit?

The Copilot Retrofit is a solution to use the Copilot technology on your current cordless drill. Whether you're committed to Milwaukee, Dewalt, AEG, Flex, Skill, AEG, Hilti, Makita, Bosch, etc - you can now pair your favorite model with a Copilot Retrofit. 

Some specs on the Copilot Retrofit Core:

• Run time (continuous use) up to 12 hours, depending on brightness setting
• Recharges via USB-C in 3 hours
• Highest level accuracy, alignment within 0.25°
• Medium level accuracy, alignment within 0.50°
• Lowest level accuracy, alignment within 1.50°
• Three levels of brightness
• 'Zero' button to set any custom orientation (defaults to plumb when powered up)
• Hold down 'zero' button to check the battery state of charge (SoC)

What's included?

Included with the Copilot Retrofit kit is everything you need:

• An adapter plate (for your chosen model) with 4 screws
• The main Copilot core (the rechargeable Copilot alignment unit with 4 screws
  

Not included in the kit are tools for installing (T8 Torx bit and standard Phillips screw bit) and of course, the drill.
