About
An alignment device…
Copilot started out life as an auger drive alignment project. Think: drilling big holes in the ground using a digger/excavator:

From the same patent, we have been developing the cordless/handheld drill adaptation of this invention. The auger drive application for this technology is known as ‘Halo’ and is exclusively licensed to Digga, an Australian based, global leader in attachment drilling/auger drive technology. Sewell Power Transfer owns the IP and manufactures the Halo products which are used by Digga. This collaboration has been a terrific relationship since 2017 and the Halo innovation has been nominated and awarded across the markets represented by Digga. The cordless drill/handheld drill application of this technology is currently known as ‘Copilot’. Why the different name? Well... the ‘halo’ trademark in the power tool class is owned by Chervon Group (EGO/Flex/Skil). You could imagine how excited we were to bring that up in this meeting!

The ultimate goal of Copilot is to license this IP to a major power tool company. With global patents granted (USA granted until 2040), we hope to eventually achieve this goal in the coming years.
